When buying a $20 leather product, it’s safe to assume that the building quality will be ok. I was delightfully surprised to find the build quality was as good if not a little better than the photos. The red stitching is clean and highlights the construction without distraction. The leather feels soft and durable, and the elastic bands are strong and durable. There’s nothing else out there at this price range with this quality.
Couple things to keep in mind. Smaller pens work better for this holder (I.e. Pilot E95S, Travelers Fountain Pen, Sarasa Dry, etc). You can fit a Lamy Safari or Twsbi 580 in the holder, but don’t expect to insert and remove it in one swift motion. It also pulls the binding of the outer covers from the pages of your notebook, however if you didn’t want that you probably wouldn’t buy this holder.
For my needs it’s perfect. If you’re looking to devote a smaller pen with your A6 notebooks for on-the-go notes, this is a quality option that I highly recommend.
